Seventh inning bloopers

  As you get older I believe you continue to add more and more pet peeves until just before you die your entire being is nothing but pet peeves.

  With so many pet peeves, this is probably my biggest and it was once again reignited by yesterday's Cub game.  


  The seventh inning stretch and the Cubs continued fawning to the so-called "celebrities" of the world.  


  What better day than Memorial Day for the Cubs to select a lifelong REAL Cub fan who is also a true hero, a veteran.  There must be just thousands and thousands of candidates.  But not the Cubs.  No loyalty to Cub fans and the many American heroes sitting in the grandstand...just roll out another "celebrity", that's the Cub way.  


  I don't get it.  If I owned the Cubs this would be my very first move.  No more Ozzy Osbournes.  No more Jeff Gordons.  No more Jason Alexanders.  There are literally thousands of true Cub fans that deserve this honor.  


  It's hard enough to be a Cub fan these days.  Maybe this kind of change in philosophy would be a step in the right direction.  I know it would be for me.      till next time      HEY!!! HEY!!!
