Irish To The Core

by Patrick Ronald

So the Irish open their season against South Florida this afternoon at the beautiful Notre Dame Stadium and I will be there.
Currently, I am tailgating in a woman’s front yard and fans are ready for Brian Kelly to lead the team to a BCS game.
Irish Schedule
Sept. 3        South Florida                      2:30            NBC
Sept. 10      @ Michigan                        7:00            ESPN
Sept. 17       #17 Michigan State            2:30            NBC
Sept. 24       @ Pittsburgh                     11:00
Oct. 1           @ Purdue                         7:00
Oct. 8            Air Force                         2:30            NBC
Oct. 22         #25 USC                          6:30            NBC
Oct. 29         Navy                                 2:30            NBC
Nov. 5          @ Wake Forest                TBD
Nov. 12         Maryland                         6:30            NBC
Nov. 19         Boston College                3:00            NBC
Nov. 26         #7 Stanford                     7:00
Personally, I think the Irish schedule is pretty weak, but the overall record of their opponents in 2010 was 95-59.
The Michigan game will be one for the ages when the Irish will wear a shamrock on their helmet and Blue will sport the traditional Michigan ‘M’ on their chests in the first night game ever at the big house next week.
I’m hoping the Irish avenge their fake-field-goal loss against State and I’ll be there too!!
Does Dave Wanstandt still coach Pittsburgh?
Purdue is Purdue and the rivalry will live forever.  Its respect.
USC.  I hope we pound those cheating assholes and I can’t wait to attend that night game.
Navy always steps up against the Irish.
  I don’t like Boston College.
And, the game that will possibly determine the Irish’s BCS fate will be against the Cardinal of Stanford.
I’m excited and I’m looking forward to a 10-2 season.  Hopefully, they prove me right and Kenny will pay me properly by taking me to the French Quarter in January when the Irish are in the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans.
Pat.  Good Luck and Go Irish!!!
